PURPOSE:To prevent a tool or key from suffering from a flaw in the captioned device performing replacement of the tool during rotary motion of a main spindle, by applying press-in force in accordance with weight of the tool and holding a constant contact touch of a tool flange to touch the key with pressure. CONSTITUTION:During resing motion of a tool held by a tool changing arm 13, fluid pressure P2 is produced in a lower chamber 47 of a hydraulic pressure cylinder 44 in accordane with weight of the tool and stored in an accumulator. Pressing force of the tool to a main spindle at this time is set to a level slightly larger than the sum of tool weight TW and slide contacting force R of a piston. Immediately before said tool changing arm 13 is adapted to a key of the main spindle, a limit switch 62 is operated by the third dog 59, and its operation signal switches a selector valve 67 to a position II, thus the hydraulic pressure in the lower chamber 47 can be left in pressure P2 as it is. |
