PURPOSE:to obtain the ion exchanger having ion exchange groups, an infrared absorption band with a specified wavelength and cross-linking structure in molecules by copolymerizing a mixture containing a vinyl monomer with ion exchange groups and a divinyl monomer with straight chain-shaped polyether groups in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator. CONSTITUTION:The mixture of the vinyl monomer with the ion exchange groups, such as sulfonic acid groups, carboxylic acid groups, etc. and the divinyl monomer with the straight chain-shaped polyether groups, particularly, oxyethylene groups, is manufacutured. The rate of the mixing is determined in consideration of the properties of the aimed ion exchanger, such as strength, the degree of cross-linking, the amount of ion exchange groups, etc. The radical polymerization initiator, such as benzoyl peroxide, acetyl peroxide, etc, is added to the mixture by approximately 0.1wt% to the admixture, and copolymerized. |
