INKING MECHANISM FOR WIRE DOT PRINTER HEAD

PURPOSE:To always achieve even inking at the tip of a wirecapable of following the fast action of the wire by providing a groove on the surface of an ink passage so arranged to transverse the wire guided with a wire guide. CONSTITUTION:An ink retained in an ink passage 50 so arranged to transverse a wire is drawn up to the printing end of the wire 51 because of a capillary action of an ink feeding groove 80 and that of a clearance 54 between the outer diameter of the wire 51 and a wire guide hole 82 of a wire guide 52. The ink supplied in the vicinity of the printing end of the wire 51 infiltrates into an ink adjusting recovery groove 69 provided at the forward tip section of the wire guide 42 in such a manner to be partially connected to the wire guide hole. The surface shape of an ink to be attached to the printing end of the wire 51 is formed between the tip of the wire 51 somewhere between the bottom of the groove 69 and the surface of the wire guide 52 and the guide hole of the wire guide 52, helping attaching of a proper amount of ink to the printing end of the wire 51 constantly.
