PURPOSE:To protect a cable for connection to a power source and facilitate maintenance, by opening a motor casing outside a pump casing and connecting the cable in a lid metal which can be mounted and demounted independently of the body of a pump. CONSTITUTION:The discharge port for the side opening of a pump casing shaped as a curved pipe is provided with a vertical flange 1a. A motor casing 1b having an upper and a lower openings is provided integrally with the pump casing 1 so that the upper part of the motor casing 1b extends through the curved wall of the pump casing 1 and the motor casing 1b is concentric with the lower opening of the pump casing 1. The shaft 2a of a motor 2, which is mounted in the motor casing 1b, is used also as a pump shaft. An electric wire connecting part 5a for connection to the motor 2 is provided on a bearing box 5. A metal lid 8, which supports a cable 7 in a watertight state in the central part of the lid, is removably secured as a cover over the bearing box 5.
