The jaws are secured (15) on internal (13) or external (12) faces of a chuck body (1) in the form of an equilateral triangle consisting of three segments (2) each having two portions (5,6) at an angle to one another. Each segment is adjustably (9) connected to the two adjoining segments by respective stud screw (3) and nut (9). Each portion (6) may have a stud screw (3) parallel to the side (7) of the triangle and engaging a corresponding bore (8) in the portion (5) of the adjoining segment while the nut (9) is arranged in an opening (11) of that portion (5).</p> |
