ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITORS AND A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

Electrolytic capacitor comprises an electrolyte impregnated capacitor element from which leads extend in opposite directions. The capacitor is encased within an inner thermoplastic resin casing about which is located a moulded outer thermosetting resin casing. The outer casing, due to its thermosetting resinous nature, bonds firmly to the leads to effect a good seal, not possible with the thermoplastics resin of the inner casing. Thus a leaktight device results.
