PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a battery of an electronic thermometer by a method wherein an electronic thermometer is provided with a means to transmit the signals of the final measurement as electric waves while a case accommodating the electronic thermometer is provided with a means to receive said signals for indicating. CONSTITUTION:In the lapse of a fixed tome after the value of temperature measured in a measurement circuit 12 surpassed a fixed value and when the measured value is stable, or in case the surrounding temperature exceeds a fixed value and when the mesured vale is stable, a signal generator 14 generates a measurement completion signal consisting of high frequency signals, the output thereof are transmitted from a transmission antenna 15 as electric waves. On the other hand, a device to receive the measurement completion signal for performing a indicating operation is furnished within the case 2 accommodating an electronic theremometer 2 to inform of the completion measurment in sounds. |
