PURPOSE:To facilitate an easy fine adjustment of zero-point, by attaching a base containing a zero-point detecting mechanism to ensure the positioning between a magnetic head and the 1st track of a multistage track magnetic tape to the main body base in a rockable way. CONSTITUTION:A tracking screw 11 is positioned to secure the matching between a magnetic head 7 and the 1st track of a tape. Then a zero-point detecting mechanism that detects 18 coincidence at a prescribed position between gears 16 and 17 as the zero position is mechanically connected to the screw 11. In this case, a base 30 containing the detecting mechanism plus a main body base 1 are assembled rotatably with a bush 14a, and a base side cut 14c, and at the same time an engagement is secured between gears 13 and 14. With rotation of a control screw 25, the base 30 is turned to the base 1. In such constitution, a tracking mechanism that is capable of correct coincidence between the tape and the detecting mechanism regardless of a shift of size at each part, a position shift of a cassette or tape, etc. |
