PURPOSE:To prepare valienamine efficiently, by treating validamycin or validoxylamine with a bacterium belonging to the genus ''Flavobacterium'' or a substance obtained by treating it. CONSTITUTION:A bacterium belonging to the genus ''Flavobacterium'', capable of producing an enzyme to form valienamine by its action on validamycin or validoxylamine or a substance obtained by treating the bacterium, e.g., ''Flavobacterium saccharophilum'' FERM-P 5707 is made to act on validamycin or validoxylamine, to give valienamine shown by the formula. Properly the concentration of the raw material compound in the reaction mixture is 1-5wt%, the reaction temperature is 20-45 deg.C, and pH is 5-8. Preferably the reaction time is 24-200hr and shaking or stirring is carried out. |
