U=section rail coupling for model railway track - has flanges shaped to form spring clamps in contact with rail foot and/or web

The coupling (4,5) is intended for connecting two rails (1-3) of a model railway track. The flanges (4) of the coupling are shaped to clamp resiliently on to the foot (3) of the rail section. Each flange forms a tubular-section spring which is in tangential contact with the foot (3) and/or the vertical web (2) of the rail section. The ends, e.g. the edges, of the tubular springs may be in contact with the foot (e.g. figs 2,3). The sides of these springs may be in contact with the web (e.g. fig.3). The springs may be in contact with web and foot (e.g. fig.4).
