1340559 Adhesive polymer compositions S GEORGE 19 April 1971 [26 March 1970] 25511/71 Heading C3P [Also in Division B2] Adhesive compositions which respond to an increase in temperature above normal atmospheric temperatures e.g. by generating chlorine gas to prevent the flow of oxygen in the vicinity and thereby reduce the spread of a fire, are used in the manufacture of flame resistant fabrics (See Division B2). In Examples 1, 2 and 4 the adhesive is based on an acrylic emulsion and in Example 3 on a vinyl chloride copolymer. The compositions contain plasticizers, pigment phosphates and defoamers.
