PURPOSE:To display time with constant contrast in all temp. environments by detecting the contrast of ECD segments indirectly in the state of voltage and replenishing electric charge until suitable segment voltages are attained. CONSTITUTION:A multiplexer 10 selects the respective segment electrodes of an ECD9 displaying time time-dividedly and feeds the same to a voltage detecting circuit 11. The circuit 11 detects the respective segment voltages and the detected signals thereof are stored respectively by each segment electrode into a latch circuit 13. A display driving circuit 5 replenishes electric charge via a switch group 8 controlled by gate groups 6, 7 to the segment electrodes of which the segment voltages do not attain suitable values. Controlling for these is accomplished by a controller 14. In this way, the displaying is accomplished with constant contrast in all temp. environments. |
