PURPOSE:To obtain a formed product having an excellent colored appearance productively by a method wherein a synthetic resin colored layer is provided on the surface of a flat metallic plate, an easily separable synthetic resin film is placed on the surface of the colored layer, this metallic plate is pressed and formed and then the film is separated. CONSTITUTION:A colored tape 12 of synthetic resin like polyvinyl chloride etc. is placed on the surface of a flat metallic plate meterial 11 of stainless steel etc. through extremely inseparable adhesive and then a transparent protective tape 13 of polyethylene etc. is pasted on the colored tape 12 by the adhesive easily separated from the colored tape 12. After the member obtained is formed by being pressed to the desired shape, the protective tape 13 is separated to expose th colored tape 12. In this manner, the colored surface 12 free from breaks etc. is formed on the surface of the formed metallic plate material 11.
