PURPOSE:To grasp conditions of fire brick in a coal chamber accurately by measuring the width of the coal chamber in a high temperature state as it is, by energizing a displacement body, movable in the widthwise direction of the coal chamber from a storage chamber isolated from high temperature, toward the side wall of the coal chamber. CONSTITUTION:A rail 7 for a pusher beam 5 moving in the coal chamber 2 of a coke oven 1 in the lengthwise of the oven is equipped with main bodies 8 and 9 made of heat insulators 11, etc. A displacement body 14 which penetrates the main body 8 and is freely movable in the widthwise direction of the coke chamber 2 is energized by a spring 16 to bring a roller 15, provided atop of the displacement body 14, into contact with the side wall 2a of the coal chamber 2 all the time. The resistance value of a potentiometer 19 varies through a coupling lever 20 and a rocking lever 21 which couple with the movement of the displacement body 14 and through a calbe 24 in a flexible internal pipe 22, an electric signal is led out to measure the width of the coal chamber. A cool wind blown from the pipe 22 into the main body 8 is radiated out through a conduit 25 and a passage 26 consisting of the pipe 22 and a flexible external pipe 23. The main body 9 is the same and the coal chamber width is measure in a high-temperature state as it is to grasp the conditions of fire brik in the coal chamber accurately. |
