PURPOSE:To provide a simple mechanical construction of the moving part of a linear motor, by a method wherein bent portions are formed at both of the longitudinal sides of a moving plate on which magnets are fitted and those bent portions are engaged with bent portions of the guide rail by guide rollers. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of rectangular-frame coils 3 and Hall elements 4 are fitted to an upper inside surface 2a of a hollow body 2 of a rectangular-frame cross section in the longitudinal direction so that a stator is composed. As for the moving member 6, magnets 5 which are magnetized in S-polarity and N-polarity are arranged alternately on a long strip of a moving plate 7 and bent portions 7b which are to form holding gutters 7c for holding guide rollers 9 are formed on both sides of the moving plate 7. The moving plate 7 moves on a guide rail plate 8 reciprocally by means of the guide rollers 9 held by holding gutters 8b of the guide rail plate 8. Thus the construction of the moving part of the moving member 6 becomes very simple and a linear motor of low cost is obtained. |
