Transport of heavy oil or tar - using appts. which heats and packs the oil etc. into bags under carefully prepared conditions

The system packs heavy oil or tar in bags. The point where this is done has the pipe (1) curved up under a heated hopper (2). This contains the prod. to be wrapped and at the base is a stopper (3). A vessel (6) contg. the same fluid as the pipe is fitted between the hopper outlet and pipe inlet. The stopper is a barred grille (4) which can be cooled to congeal the liq. Adjustment of the pull on the bag (7) is by adjusting liq. height (9) in the vessel relative to a sleeve (10) guiding the bag.
