PURPOSE:To prevent the pinch of a lockup clutch piston with a hub and to equalize the contact with a converter cover by securing a lip type seal on the inner peripheral surface of a circular hole of the lockup clutch piston. CONSTITUTION:An input shaft 17 is movably engaged with a stationary hollow shaft 16, and three annular spacers 18, 19, 20 are interposed between the shafts to from two annular spaces 21, 22 between the shafts 16 and 17. The hubs 13 of turbine runners 12 are spline coupled to the input shaft 17, and an annular unit 23 is interposed between the end face of the hub and a converter cover 9. The outer peripheral surface of the hub 13 is inserted into a circular hole 26a formed with the annular lip type seal 30 of the lockup clutch piston 26, and a lockup oil chamber 28 is formed between a clutch facing 27 and the converter cover 9 when the clutch facing 27 is contacted with the end wall of the converter cover 9. |
