<p>The metal U-frame has a central slot (32) through which the wiper blade (17) locates and a series of tags (33,34) which are bent over the top the wiper blade support strip (30). The cleaning strips (40) are clipped to the sides of the U-profile and have contoured edges (42) which spread cleaning fluid and aid the wiping action. The U-strip has keyhole slots spaced along each side into which the moulded tags (45) of the cleaning strips are pressed. This provides a simple and secure fitting with the strips replaced when worn without having to dismantle the wiper blade.</p> |
