PURPOSE:To supperss temperature rise of a frame and to contrive to reduce noise of a rotary electric machine by a method wherein a cover being fixied inside with a sound absorbing material is fixed to the outside of the frame placing an interval between them, and cooling air is made to flow in space between the frame and the sound absorbing material. CONSTITUTION:The cover 16 is coated on the outside circumference of the frame 1 placing a gap between them, the sound absorbing material 17 is fixed inside of the cover 16 and an air chamber 18 is formed between the sound absorbing material 17 and the frame 1. Opening parts 19, 20 are provided at the axis directional end parts of the frame 1 to connect the air chamber 18 to the inside of the frame 1, and a part of cooling air is made to flow through the air chamber 18. Accordingly cooling effect of the frame 1 is enhanced, and noise leaking from the frame to the outside can be reduced. |
