PURPOSE:To improve the mechanical efficiency of a scroll fluid machine having a rotating scroll and a fixed scroll provided with an end plate and a lap part, respectively, fixed threreto by a method wherein a resilient film is formed on a surface of each of said parts of at least one of the scrolls so as to reduce a clearance between the scrolls. CONSTITUTION:In the scroll fluid machine, a rotating scroll 2 having an end plate part 2a and a lap part 2b is rotated in a specified direction with respect to a fixed scroll 1 having an end plate part 1a and a lap part 1b ustanding from the end palte part. Thereby, a sealed space 5 formed between both scrolls 1 and 2 is revolved so as to cause the fluid enclosed in the space to be transferred. On the surface of the rotating scroll 2, for example, is coated a fluorine film 7 having thickness of about 200mum. In this arrangement, a clearance space 8 formed between the scrolls 1 and 2 in a radial direction and clearances 9, 10 in axial direction may be modified by a slight deformation of the film 7 during an operation of the machine and an output power thereof may be increased. |
