<p>The vehicle throttle control rod assembly is made in two parts (1,2). One part is held in a bearing (4) in the body (5) and carries an elastic element (9) fixed between two discs (10,11), one disc (11) carries the accelerator pedal connector (6) and the other (10), a lever with tongs (13) which project through grommets (15) held in a rocking lever (18). This lever connects it through a similar set of tongs (22) and grommets (20) to a lever (24) fixed on the second part (2) of the rod assembly. The other end of the rod fits into a bearing in the throttle pump housing while levers (7,8) connect it to the throttle valve. This forms a rigid rotating assembly which can be bent along its length with movement of the engine.</p> |
