The mowing attachment secured to the front of a tractor consists of a frame with two forked arms sloping down from a central connecting point. An eccentric drive also at the centre is connected by reciprocating arms to upper rocker arms (14) tilted about rear hinge axes (16) and shorter lower rocker arms (13). The latter are tilted about axes (15) near the front. The upper arms drive an upper serrated cutting blade (11) and the lower arms drive a lower serrated cutting blade (8). These blades are carried by respective cross supports (10,7) one above the other, and have coarse and fine teeth, respectively, acting in opposite directions.
