PURPOSE:To tightly apply a sheet onto the surface of a workpiece to be coated, having a complex surface configulation with high repoducibility, by heating the sheet with a heater in the state that the sheet is interposed between upper and lower vessels both of which are deaired, and then introducing pressurized air into the upper vessel. CONSTITUTION:A coating sheet 11 provided with an adhesive 10 is sandwiched between an upper vessel 8 and a lower vessel 9, while a workpiece 15, to be coated, is mounted on the stand 14 of the lower vessel 9 and a reinforcing stand 14'. In this case, a pressure-uniformalizing opening 17 is formed to uniformalize pressures above and below the stand 14. The stand 14 is then pushed downwards to deair the upper and lower vessels 8, 9. The sheet 11 is heated with a heater 12. Thereafter, the stand 14 is raised, and pressurized air is introduced into the upper vessel 8. |
