PURPOSE:To prevent deformation of an insert and increase the degree of freedom of product design, by a method wherein with a tension, overpowering the fluid pressure in injection of material, applied to the insert, a molding material is injected into a cavity and formed. CONSTITUTION:Under the mold open condition, set holes 3a, 3b of an insert 3 are fitted with set pins 21, 27 in order to set the insert 3. After completion of setting, mold clamping is carried out to apply a tension to the insert 3. The magnitude of the tension at that time is such that it overpowers the pressure applied to the insert 3 by means of the material fluid pressure when material is injected into a cavity. After the mold clamping, a molding material is injected into the cavity 9 through a sprue 11, a runner 13 and a gate 15. On doing this, there is no possibility that the insert 3 may be deformed. Thereby, it is possible to increase the degree of freedom of product design. |
