The cutter enables honeycombs to be de-capped an entire comb at a time. Each frame has a thin reinforcement along the three sides and the bottom, and can be arranged to fit a groove formed in the wall of the comb, or in a portion protruding from it. Cutter plates can be inserted in the hive to de-cap the honeycombs. The leaves of wax have, on their side faces, a curve to permit sliding. The cutter plates are driven reciprocally by two rods and a motor.
