发明名称 METHOD FOR RAPIDLY TAPPING STEEL FROM CONVERTER WHILE TRAPPING SLAG
摘要 PURPOSE:To accomplish rapid tapping of a molten steel and contrive to prolong the service life of a refractory material under a suitable lowering of blow-out temperature by a method wherein the interior of a converter is pressurized at the final stage of a tapping operation in which the molten steel flows out through a taphole consisting of a long bent connecting passage, and the pressurization is stopped immediately before the end of the outflow of the molten steel. CONSTITUTION:In a process using a converter consisting of a furnace body 1 provided with a taphole 2, an opening 3, a U-shaped connecting passage 4 and the like, the flowing-out speed of the molten steel m before performing a slag trapping operation is increased by pressuring the interior of the converter. Then, the pressurization is stopped immediately before the time at which the slag trapping operation is required. As a result, the flowing-out speed of the molten steel is rapidly changed, enabling the finishing time of steel tapping to be easily confirmed. By the reduction of the steel tapping period as a whole, the lowering of the temperature of the molten steel thus tapped can be reduced and the blow-out temperature can be set at a lower temperature. Accordingly, the service life of the refractory material can be prolonged. The S in the Figure represents a slag.
