PURPOSE:To make the surface of a photoreceptor flawless and to prevent generation of texture stain by providing a cleaning device which is made of a cleaning member consisting of natural fiber as the principal component at the rearward of ordinary cleaning process and by removing compounds adhering onto the surface. CONSTITUTION:At the rearward of the 1st cleaning device 17 disposed in the periphery of a drum 11 of photoreceptor having an organic photoconductive layer on its surface, the 2nd cleaning device 18 is disposed. The 2nd cleaning device contains a cleaning member 20 f which the vegetable fiber such as silk, cotton cellulose or the like, or the animal fiber such as rabbit fiber or the like is formed in a form such as brush, blade or web on a supporting member. Thereby, oxidized compound which could not be removed through the 1st cleaning device is removed, and, even through toner contacts with the surface of the photoreceptor, both the generation of texture stain and the turbulence of picture image are prevented. |
