PURPOSE:To make the life of a developer longer and its stability higher by coating carriers with a resin contg. a sorbitan type surfactant. CONSTITUTION:A coating resin such as fluororesin, styrene-butadiene copolymer resin or the like and a surfactant of sorbitan type such as sorbitan ester are compounded at 0.01-10pts.wt.-100pts.wt., for example, the resin, and the mixture is dispersed in a solvent such as toluene or xylene. Carriers are mixed with this dispersion, and the carriers are coated, dried and granulated by a spray dryer method, a fluidized pellitizing method or the like. Thereby, the resistance value of the coating resin is reduced, the life of the developer is made longer and the stable carriers are obtained. |
