The fan unit is held in the machine casing by two tension arms (9,10) which are L-shaped, in side view, and which are connected together at one end by a transverse rod (11) to form a one-part tension hoop (8) which is fixed by the rod (11) by force or by keyed engagement to the machine casing. The arms which are connected by the rod (11) have in the area of the resilient shock absorber (7) which adjoins one end side of the blower unit projections (12) which engage in corresponding recesses (13) provided on the shock absorber (7). The arms of the tension hoop which run parallel to the axis of the fan unit (6) are held under tensile stress against the support plate (3) which is connected to the casing so as to hold the fan against it.
