<p>PURPOSE:To detect the displacement of a hydraulic ram always at a good accuracy without causing a deformation in a detecting mechanism, and to properly adjust the roll gap with the titled pressing-down device, by constituting a liquid-tightness holder, to be interposed between a protuberance of a hydraulic cylinder and a hollow part of a hydraulic ram, with concentrically arranged plural packings. CONSTITUTION:A liquid-tightness holder, for preventing the oil leak from the interface of the outer surface of a protuberance 3 provided in the center of underside of a hydraulic cylinder 2 and the inner surface of a hollow part prepared under the bottom of a hydraulic ram 1, secures a large gap in the said interface. That is, in the said interface of the ram 1 and the protuberance 3 of the cylinder 3, a small diameter packing 27 is provided and is fixed to a prescribed position by adapters 28, 29. A large diameter packing 31 is then concentrically put on the outer surface of the packing 27 through a collar 30, and is set at a prescribed position by adapters 32, 33. Moreover, these packings and collars are retained through a collar 34 by a retainer 35 provided with an external screw. By the present pressing-down device, the position of the hydraulic ram is detected at a good accuracy without being affected by the inclination and eccentricity of the hydraulic ram.</p> |
