Derivatives of aminothiols having a number of therapeutic properties, e.g. vasodilating, antihypertensive, hypolipidaemiant, antithrombotic, antiarthritic, immodulatory and/or antimitotic properties of the general formula (I):- <IMAGE> wherein: R1 represents hydrogen or C1-10 alkyl; R2 represents hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl; R1 and R2 can form, with the adjacent carbon atoms, C3-8 to cycloalkyl; R3 represents hydrogen, C1-3 alkyl, C1-3 alkanoylthio, C1-3 alkyloxycarbonylthio, C1-10 alkylthio or a radical -(S)n-CR1R2-CH2-NR4R5, n being 1 or 2; R4 and R5, which can be identical or different, represent: hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl, possibly substituted by: a hydroxyl group, a carboxyl or a linear or branched C1-C2 alkoxycarbonyl group, a naphthyloxy, a phenyl, phenoxy, phenylthio or benzyloxy group optionally substituted by one, two or more halogen atoms such as chlorine, by one, two or more, C1-4 alkyl radicals, by one, two or more C1-4 alkyloxy radicals, a C1-4 alkoxy or alkylthio group, a C1-4 alkylamino group possibly substituted by a phenyl ring, a C1-6 alkylcarboxamido group possibly substituted by a phenyl or phenoxy group, a C3-8 cycloalkylcarboxamido group, C3-8 cycloalkyl, C3-16 alkenyl, C3-8 alkynyl, R4 and R5 can form with the adjacent nitrogen atom a heterocycle such as piperidine, pyrrolidine, morpholine, piperazine, possibly substituted in the 4 position by benzyl, C1-4 alkyl or phenyl which can itself be substituted by one, two or more halogen atoms such as fluorine and chlorine, C1, C2 or C3 alkyl radicals, C1, C2 or C3 alkoxy radicals; R3 and R4 can form a thiazolidine cycle optionally substituted in the 2 position by one or two C1, C2 or C3 alkyl groups or a thiazolidinone cycle; R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 cannot simultaneously represent hydrogen, and non-toxic and pharmaceutically utilisable salts of these derivatives. |
