PURPOSE:To improve reliability by decreasing the possibility of the malfunction of a detection sensor by inclining the counter surfaces of the light emitting and photodetection parts of the detection sensor so that they spread out in the toner falling direction. CONSTITUTION:A photodetection sensor 2 is equipped with a light emitting part 3 and photodetection part 4, and then a toner passing part 5 is formed between those light emitting part 3 and photodetection part 4. The counter surfaces 3a and 4a of the light emitting part 3 and photodetection part 4 are inclinded, spreading out, in the falling direction 6 of toner in the passing part 5. Consequently, the sticking of the toner between the counter surfaces 3a and 4a is relieved and the possibility of the malfunction of the photodetection sensor 2 due to the sticking of the toner is decreased, thereby improving reliability. |
