PURPOSE:To prevent the fault which occurred in one side from being transmitted to the other side and facilitate maintenance by providing an intermediate plate mounted with optical fiber hood cells which airtightly connect optical fibers to a cable connecting part. CONSTITUTION:A molded part 4 having recesses of a dovetail groove shape is provided to the inner side in the end part of a pressure resistant casing 7, and the anchor part 3 of the tensile body part of an optical fiber cable 1 is anchored by being engaged in the dovetail groove recesses. An intermediate plate 11 made of metal is provided at the center in the inside part of the casing 7, and hood cells 9, 10 for airtightly connecting fiber strands 5 and feeders 6 on both sides are provided. Hence, the fault which occurred in one side is surely prevented by the intermediate plate 11 from being transmitted to the other side, and the damages for the purpose of maintenance, repair, etc. are reduced. |
