<p>PURPOSE:To enable to conduct a deodorizing treatment for a coke plant at low cost while using the existing equipment and enable to recover useful components from water which contains odorous components, by a method wherein steam containing odorous components desorbed from activated carbon is condensed, and oil components contained in the condensate are recovered. CONSTITUTION:A gas 1 containing odorous components is cleared of dusts by a mist collecting equipment 2, then it is directed into a group of activated carbon packed towers 4 to remove odorous components and is discharged as a clean gas via an exhaust pipe 5. Passages are changed over according to the reduction in the adsorbing power of the activated carbon, and steam is blown into non-operating packed towers through a steam pipe 6 for desorption. The steam containing the odorous components desorbed from the activated carbon is fed into a condenser 8, and is recovered into an oil-water separator 11 as water which contains the odorous components in high concentrations. Since the oil components separated from water by the difference in specific gravity contain usedful components such as benzene, the oil components are permitted to flow over a top-communicating partition plate 13 and are taken out by a pump 14. On the other hand, water is passed through a lower part of a bottom-communicating partition plate 12, then it is fed into a pit 18 through a drain pipe 15 and a interface regulator 16 and is fed to a waste water treating equipment.</p> |
