<p>The meshing gears, driven by a single shaft, are in a pair of partially overlapping cylindrical cavities in the pump body through which the suction channels pass one way and the mixture delivery channel the other. This also passes through the scaling cover over the cavities within whose thickness there is a mixer chamber joined by a port with a calibrated spring loaded needle valve, to the delivery channel. This chamber is also connected to a pressure source at higher pressure than that in the delivery chamber and esp. above atmos. Automatic bypass prevents airlocks etc forming during discontinuous operation.</p> |
