PURPOSE:To improve color purity by making constant the horizontal pitch of a circular aperture shadow mask and forming the horizontal alignment line of the shadow mask aperture into a barrel-type one. CONSTITUTION:The horizontal pitch which is directly related to the resolution of a screen is made constant and the horizontal alignment line of a circular shadow mask aperture is formed into a barrel-type one by adjusting the pitch in the vertical direction. Besides, the phosphor screen which is opposed to it is formed into a circular- dot one. As a result, the space factor by the tilt of an electronic beam trio, allowance for landing, and color purity are improved. |
