A transport vehicle, in particular for agriculture, for transporting bales, for example bales of hay and straw, has a U-shaped vehicle body (4) which has, for the purpose of unloading, a front wall (6) which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body and a rear wall (7) which, for opening purposes, can be moved away from the floor of the vehicle body (4). This floor is formed partially by a fixed front part (8) and partially by a rear part (9) which ends at the rear wall (7) and can be displaced under the fixed front part (8). For the purpose of unloading, the rear wall (7) is released so that it can move away from the floor of the vehicle body, the front wall (6) can be displaced backwards and the rear part (9) of the vehicle body can be pushed under the front part (8) of the vehicle body. As a result, a discharge opening which extends partially under the vehicle is provided, through which opening the bales can fall out. <IMAGE>
