Safety valve for fuel tank vent line - has gravity activated element in snap fastening seat

The expansion chamber (5) in the vent line (6) between the fuel tank and the exit filter has a snap fastening tapering seat (16) clipped to the underside of the top wall (15). A gravity operated element (28) in the seal has a spherical element (29) on the top to seal off the vent line if the fuel should rise in the expansion chamber, due to tilting of the vehicle. The seal is plastic moulded with retaining clips (23) to fasten over the lip of the expansion chamber fitting. The expansion chamber is itself made in two sections, clipped together, for easy access to the valve.
