PURPOSE:To eliminate a ghost, by sampling a video signal containing a ghost only in + or -1/2H period (H shows a horizontal scanning period) of the leading edge of a vertical synchonizing signal of the video signal, storing it directly in the memory, and executng the waveform equalization by use of its information. CONSTITUTION:A video signal containing a ghost is inputted from an input terminal 1, and is equalized by a transversal filter which is constituted of a delay line 2 fitted with a tap. A part of a vertical synchronizing signal, that is to say, only + or -1/2H period of the vertical synchronizing signal is sampled by a waveform processing circuit 3, status of a ghost is calculated, and after that, a weight factor generating circuit 4 is controlled in the direction for reducing a ghost. The weight factor generating circuit 4 outputs a factor of each weighting circuit 5a-5n, containing its code. Said output signal is added by an adder 6, and also is added with an original signal by an adder 7. The waveform processing circuit 3 selects said signal to 3 times of a subcarrier fc of a chroma signal, samples it only in + or -1/2H of the leading edge of the vertical synchronizing signal of a video signal, and it is stroed directly in a memory 11. |
