PURPOSE:To obtain a stable and durable display device by providing a transparent electrode on one side of a transparent surface panel, and providing a fluorescent layer between this and back electrodes which are provided opposite to this and are divided to plural pieces. CONSTITUTION:A transparent electrode 12 is provided on one side of a surface panel 11 made of glass or plastics, and back electrodes 15 segmented to plural pieces are provided opposite to this. A fluorescent layer 15 is disposed between these. AC voltage is selectively applied to both electrodes 12, 15 via a selection part 18. Thereby, the stable and durable display device is obtained. |
