PURPOSE:To prevent sticking of toner without reducing a cleaning capability by regulating a quantity and a polarity of electricity charging on a cleaning brush. CONSTITUTION:For example, a lower side cleaning brush 4 is charged with electricity of positive polarity through a conductive member 8c which is provided in one side of an insulating member 8a of a center flicker bar 8, then toner stuck on a photosensitive drum 1 is sucked electrostatically, and, at the same time, is made to cleaning by napping 4a. Since repulsive actions among remained toners are generated by an upper cleaning brush 4 charged with electricity through a conductive member 8b of the bar 8 applied high DC voltage of negative polarity, the remained toner is cleaned well by the same way as above. The removed toner from the drum is conveyed without sticking and piling at any part by electrostatic oscillation of sheets 6a, 7a of electrostatic curtains, which are prepared on the inner surfaces of an upper-and a lower housing 6, 7, and by a blowing action of the brushes 4. Further, the brushes destaticized through the sheets 6a, 7a are charged with electricity again by the flicker bar 8. |
