Filter centrifuge with a filter drum (12) which turns at a high speed with the horizontal line along the diameter of the floor of the drum as an axis and at a low speed about the centre line as a further axis, a circumferential wall (15) of the filter drum (12) being constructed as a filter surface so that the largest centrifugal filter effect is achieved in that the solid/liquid mixture is ejected into an area at a diameter (A) of the base component (14) of the filter drum (12), which area intersects the axis of rotation at a high speed at a right angle whilst the filtered mass is output by the filter drum (12) at both ends (B, B') of the diameter of the base along the axis of rotation at a high speed. <IMAGE>
