PURPOSE:To control the injection rate of chlorine in accurate response to the composition change of raw water, by calculating a chlorine-injection rate on the basis of the content of components to be separated by oxidation and the measured turbidity of the raw water. CONSTITUTION:Raw water is continuously discharged from a raw water pool 1, and its turbidity is measured by a photometer 7. The detected signal is inputted into a circuit 12 to calculate the rate of chlorine to be consumed by turbid matters in the raw water. On the other hand, NH3-N, Fe, Mn, etc. contained in the raw water are measured by manual analysis, and a chlorine rate necessary to separate these components is set on the basis of the measured values. A signal corresponding to the chlorine rate obtained in this manner is inputted into an adder 10, and an output from the adder 10 is inputted into a multiplier 9. The flow rate of the raw water is detected by a flow meter 8, and the output is inputted into the multiplier 9. An output from the multiplier 9 is inputted into a chlorine injector 11, so that the opening rate of the valve of the chlorine injector 11 is controlled. |
