PURPOSE:To minimize an unnecessary latency time for rotation, by checking a sector number all the time in the beginning of search simultaneously in searching a desired sector. CONSTITUTION:The contents of a register 1 stored externally with the address data 10 of a desired sector are compared 5 with those of a sector counter 2 reset by an index mark signal 14 from a disk device and starting counting operation by a sector signal 15 to send the result to an AND circuit 6. Further, a sector register 3 stored with the contents of the counter 2 at prescribed timing is installed newly and on the basis of a sector 4, the output of the register 1 or 3 is selected and sent to the comparator 5. Here, an AND circuit 6 discriminates whether a correct sector is discovered by the signal from the comparator 5 or not, or whether a desired sector is detected on one rotatin or not, then the circuit outputs. |
