<p>The mesh tube, to deliver lubricant to the long edge of the shearing cylinder, and the upper long edge of the lubricating felt can be pivoted from the horizontal optionally against each other, within the adjustment tolerance. The mesh tube delivering the lubricant drops at an angle from the feed end, while the felt to absorb and apply the lubricant has holding stages to contain the lubricant as it passes downwards. The holding stages are defined by lateral dams, particularly as a sawtooth formation. The design prevents over-lubrication, and ensures that the lubricant is distributed evenly over the applicating felt.</p> |
