The hinging support is for a passenger barrier in a bus. It has an arm mounted via abearing on a supporting component, its pivoting movement being limited by a stop forming part of the bearing. The stop is inaccessible from the outside and acts between the fixed part of the bearing and the bearing eye of thee arm. A part annular groove (23) is formed in the end face of the fixed component (10), and extends part-way round a pitch circle. A stop pin (22) protruding from the end face of the bearing eye (18) engages in the groove. USE/ADVANTAGE - No risk of trapping bus passengers fingers during pivoting movement of swinging barrier in bus.
