Stabiliser for articulated steered vehicle - has sprung strut offset under steering axis

The articulated steered vehicle stabiliser has a strut (40) mounted on an offset pivot (42) alongside the steering axis (26), with the other end of the strut linked to a rearwards facing pivot lever (48) set well back from the steering axis. The strut is sprung in both directions and provides a self-centering force for the steering. The strut provides a reaction force which counteracts the lifting action for the front wheel on the outside of the curve. This ensures good ground contact for the steered wheels especially when the vehicle carries a load behind the rear axle.
