PURPOSE:To install more terminals economically by multiplexing and connecting packets, from terminals given priority levels, to a subscriber line. CONSTITUTION:Once a received packet from a priority terminal 5 is detected, a packet selector circuit 4 investigates a storing circuit 3 stored with packets from a terminal 6 having no priority and when more than a constant number of packets are stored, the packets in the storing circuit 3 are transmitted before the priority terminal 5 is connected to a subscriber line. When more than a prescribed number of packets are stored, the terminal 6 having no priority is kept connected to the subscriber line. During this period, the packets the priority terminal are enqueued in the storing circuit 2. |
