PURPOSE:To draw an optical fiber easily into a nonmagnetic metallic pipe by mounting internal and external jigs which are movable along said pipe, and one of which is a magnet and the other consists of a magnet or magnetic metal to the end of said pipe and making use of these. CONSTITUTION:An internal magnet 2 of 2.5mm. outside diameter and 15mm. length as the internal jig is wound and fitted with the end part of a sewing thread 3 and is inserted into an aluminum pipe 1 of, for example, 5mm. outside diameter, 3.4mm. inside diameter and 0.8mm. wall thickness. An external magnet 4 of a rectangular parallelepiped of 50mm. length, 30mm. width and 20mm. thickness as the external jig is used on the outside part of the pipe 1, and if it is moved from one end of the pipe 1 to the other end, the internal magnet sensitive to the movement of the magnet 4 moves in the same direction and the thread 3 fitted and fixed thereto by means of an adhesive agent is also pulled into the pipe 1. Next, this thread 3 is pulled out to the outside of the pipe, by which an optical fiber connected to the thread 3 is pulled into the pipe 1. By such method, the optical fiber is drawn easily into the pipe 1. |
