PURPOSE:To prevent resticking of moisture on a twisted wire and make the decision of moisture removal sue by segmenting the inside of the reheater of an annealing device to two moisture removing areas and a moisture removal deciding area by means of partition walls. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a reheater 16 is segmented to areas 34, 36, 38 by means of partition walls 30, 32, and through-holes 30a, 32a are provided to the partition walls 30, 32. Guide rings 20, 24 are disposed in said holes. When a twisted wire 1 is reheated by the conduction of electricity between power feed rings 14, 14', the moisture of the surface is removed by evaporation in the 1st area 34, and the internal moisture is removed in the 2nd area 36. At this time, the walls 30, 32 prevent steam from entering the adjacent areas 36, 38, and prevent the moisture scattered by centrifugal forces from sticking on the twisted wire in the adjacent areas. Thence, when a hygrometer indicates the presence of steam in the 3rd area 38, the guide ring 22 is lowered along a guide rod 40 to prolong the twisted wire part in the area 36, whereby the moisture removal in the area 36 is accomplished sufficiently. |
